National Congress of the Italian Society of Psychiatry

The 2025 edition of the National Congress of the Italian Society of Psychiatry will take place from 5 to 8 November in the splendid setting of the city of Bari, at the Fiera del Levante Congress Center. SIP national congresses are traditionally the main point of reference for updating, exchange and meeting between mental health specialists on the Italian territory.

The 2025 edition, entitled ”Psychiatry 2030 agenda: complexity, change, sustainability” aims to address the main issues related to mental health with an eye to the future, with a view to renewal that prepares professionals for the challenges of the coming decades.

In fact, there are many changes that have involved psychiatry in recent decades, and which must be taken into account. From the dimensional and transnosographic revolution that has led to an overcoming of the categorical system, to the emerging phenotypes of mental disorders, up to social changes that require an adequate modulation of care modalities. During the event, participants will be provided with the elements for a greater understanding of the implications of these changes, from a scientific point of view, proposing new perspectives of research, and care, focusing on the application implications and on the new possibilities and needs of treatment.
